Offline games stay on your device
Offline games and settings are stored in your browser's IndexedDB. Clearing website data deletes them. ChessPlayX does not automatically upload offline history to the server.
Accounts and online games
Email, display name, sessions, game events and ratings are stored to provide the service. Session cookies use HttpOnly. We do not scan your device or install tracking software.
Contact messages
When you contact us, we store your name (if provided), email, message, selected topic and any attached screenshot. These details are forwarded to the team's private Telegram support chat so we can review and respond. We do not publish your message or share a player report with the reported player. Use the contact form for requests about your data.
Hidden chess
The identities of unrevealed pieces are not sent to players or spectators. Public replays retain only the information revealed during the game.
